My season in a picture.

1st lap of qualifying for the 2010....

I’d invested a lot of time and effort into preparing for  the 2010 Caterham R300 Series, and as the Easter Bank holiday arrived both the car and I were in good shape. Unofficial timing had us on the ultimate pace along with Jon Walker from DPR Motorsport and we were looking forward to kicking the season off with a hatful of points. Having won both rounds at Silverstone Bridge the year before I was certainly looking forward to qualifying and the race. However the engine had other ideas, half a lap into the 20 minute session I was accelerating down the new F1 pit straight out of club when without warning the engine expired. A very rare sight as the the Ford Duratec engines are pretty bullproof and in the R300 spec very unstressed 175bhp format.

About Paul Wilson

Having a father who raced and a passion for motorsport it was always an ambition to go racing at some point in my life. In my twenties I raced Motocross and Enduro with some success, but I moved onto 4 wheels in 2008 and have not looked back. 2014 will be with Aston Martin Racing in the Vantage GT3 at the VLN with Stuart Leonard. When I'm not racing, I generally spend my time working out how to go quicker and how I'm going to pay for it all......
